Start with the substitution list
Look for a line in the rules stating which symbols a Wild replaces. Then check which reels or positions can contain it. A Wild restricted to central reels behaves differently from one that can appear anywhere.
The game may also pay a separate prize for a sequence of Wilds. That does not necessarily mean the sequence pays both its own prize and every substituted combination. The evaluation rules determine whether awards combine or only the highest qualifying award counts.
Common variations describe behaviour, not a guarantee
An expanding Wild can cover additional positions. A sticky Wild remains for a specified number of evaluations. A moving Wild can shift position across successive rounds or feature spins. A multiplying Wild can change the value of a qualifying win.
Each description needs a boundary: when does the feature start, how long does it last, what resets it, and can multiple effects combine? “Sticky” without a duration is not enough information to calculate or explain a feature.

Follow one round through the paytable
Imagine a hypothetical line showing A, A, Wild, A. Whether it pays depends on whether A is eligible for substitution, the minimum required match, the evaluation direction and the positions that form an active line. The image alone is not a complete explanation.
For cascades, read whether a Wild survives after a win, is replaced by a new symbol or is created only after a special symbol clears. In Super Ace, for example, the provider documents a distinct Golden Card / Golden Joker mechanic; our game note discusses that specific mechanic rather than assuming all gold symbols are ordinary Wilds.
A useful feature can still produce no net profit
A Wild can improve a particular combination while the completed round still returns less than the stake. A feature animation is therefore not evidence of a profitable result. Compare the settled return with the total cost of the round.
Our symbol guides explain reading skills. They are not methods for predicting a Wild or timing a spin. If a feature rule is missing, we say so instead of supplying a plausible-sounding rule from another title.
