A percentage of turnover, not a percentage of your deposit
A hypothetical 96% RTP corresponds to a theoretical house edge of 4%. If the game receives ₱100,000 in total stakes across a sufficiently large modelled sample, the model’s expected prizes are ₱96,000. This is an explanation of the calculation, not a forecast for a particular player or an actual game recommendation.
Turnover means the sum of all stakes. Depositing ₱500 and repeatedly staking returned winnings can generate much more than ₱500 of turnover. This is why subtracting four per cent from a deposit does not describe the cost or outcome of a real session. You may lose the entire amount you set aside.
Theoretical RTP and observed results answer different questions
The theoretical value comes from the game’s probability model. An observed return is calculated from recorded stakes and prizes during a selected period. A short run can sit far above or below the model because rare outcomes do not appear evenly. A short sample therefore cannot establish the long-term return.
A screenshot of a large prize says almost nothing about the average outcome. Likewise, a losing session does not establish that the next session is due to compensate for it. The relevant question is which game configuration was used, with what rules, and how the underlying model was assessed.

Check the version inside the game you actually open
The same title can be offered with different configurations. A provider marketing page, a third-party list and the rules screen of an operator’s game can therefore show different values. Do not automatically select the largest figure as the correct one.
Open the information panel before staking anything. Record the exact title, provider, version or game ID if displayed, RTP text, feature mode and date. A bonus-buy mode or an optional feature may have separate published information. If the operator and provider disagree, ask for clarification rather than blending the numbers.
A comparison that avoids false precision
Consider two hypothetical games with 96% and 97% theoretical RTP. The difference is one percentage point in expected return across their models. It is not a one-per-cent greater chance of winning a prize, and it does not tell you how often either title pays. For our title pages, an unavailable RTP remains “not verified”. We do not infer a figure from the provider’s name, a related game, the category average or a number imported from an affiliate catalogue. An honest blank is more useful than an exact-looking figure attached to the wrong configuration.
Before treating RTP as a selection tool
First decide whether gambling fits your circumstances at all. If you choose to play, the budget and stopping point should exist before the game opens. A higher theoretical return does not turn a gambling product into savings, work or a reliable way to recover losses.
Use RTP to understand a documented game, alongside its paytable and volatility. Do not use it to justify increasing a stake, extending a session or chasing a target turnover.
- Confirm the exact version and the source of the number.
- Separate the base game, feature mode and any optional purchase.
- Keep your spending limit independent of the advertised percentage.
- Treat missing or conflicting evidence as a limitation, not a number to guess.
